All about the treatment of hypertension: an interview with a cardiologist
Arterial hypertension is one of the most widespread diseases of the cardiovascular system.
17.5 million17.5 million people die of cardiovascular disease each year. |
85%More than 85% of deaths are caused by heart attacks and strokes triggered by hypertension. |
95%95% of premature heart attacks and strokes can be prevented. |
Why do blood vessels become vulnerable after some time? How does the heart react to stress? How to diagnose problems with the cardiovascular system? Why does hypertension appear in young people and how can it be treated? About these and many other things we talked about with a cardiologist with 30 years of experience, Doctor of Medical Sciences Professor Otieno Adan.
— Good day, Professor. What is the average age of people with high blood pressure today?
— Hello. With each year that number grows smaller. Five years ago, it was 40-45 years, today it is 35.
— Why is this happening?
— Hypertension is called the "disease of the modern lifestyle." This is due to key factors contributing to high blood pressure: low physical activity, excess weight, excess salt intake.
— Why does the prevalence of hypertension increase with age?
— This is due to the walls of the blood vessels aging and becoming worn out. The arteries become stiffer, which impairs the function of relaxing the heart muscle. Chronic hypertension deforms the thin wall of the cerebral vessels. As a result, it either becomes so thin that at one point it just tears, or it deforms and thickens, reducing the lumen of the vessel.
— Why is high blood pressure dangerous??
— The increased pressure leads to the hypertrophy of the left ventricular myocardium, which in turn leads to heart failure. Atherosclerotic plaques form in the vessels, which may cause a myocardial infarction or a stroke. Also, high blood pressure affects all the other organs: the brain, heart, kidneys and arteries.
— But young people can’t get strokes and heart attacks, right?
— No, that’s actually a myth. Heart attack and stroke affect everyone and can happen at any age (although, of course, the older the person, the higher the likelihood). Moreover, middle-aged men (40-50 years old) die from a stroke one and a half times more often than women. And some types of stroke occur most often with young (25-35 years old) men following a sharp increase in blood pressure.
— Besides high blood pressure, are there any other signs that indicate the development of the disease?
— There are five symptoms that people do not associate with hypertension:
- headaches upon waking up;
- dizziness;
- tinnitus;
- ”seeing spots”;
- nosebleeds.
— Is it true that stress provokes a crisis (a sharp bout in pressure)?
— A crisis can be triggered not only by stress, but also by excessive mental strain, an overdose of alcohol or medical drugs. If you feel a severe headache or nausea, and your skin is covered with red spots, call an ambulance. Otherwise, you may end up with cerebral edema or a stroke.
— Can hypertension be cured?
— Hypertension, like any other disease, is better treated at an early stage. At high risk are people whose relatives suffered from heart disease - in most cases, hypertension becomes a hereditary disease. Modern therapy includes drugs that, unlike outdated drugs, do not disrupt carbohydrate, lipid and purine metabolism, do not retain fluid in the body, and do not inhibit the activity of the central nervous system.
— They are probably very expensive?
— Most of the modern drugs used for treating hypertension are on average 80% more expensive than their predecessors. In my medical practice I use an inexpensive and very effective natural drug called Cardiline. The most important thing about this remedy –instead of taking it all your life, you can take it as a course.
— How does Cardiline help with hypertension?
— Cardiline is made up of natural B-blockers and inhibitors that improve the work of the heart and see to that too much blood is not gushed into the vessels. Since excessive blood flow, combined with a decrease in vessel strength, causes an increase in pressure.
— How does the drug work?
— When taking Cardiline the patient is insured against sudden fluctuations in pressure at night and in the morning. The drug relieves stress on the heart muscle and improves blood circulation, which helps to reduce the frequency of strokes, which, like myocardial infarctions, most often occur in the early morning. Blood pressure at night drops by about 10%, and the body responds to this by releasing the hormones catecholamines, which help maintain blood pressure. Cardiline not only thins the blood, but also deals with the blocked vessels issue, by removing the clamps and expanding the vessels. Vascular contamination with cholesterol is the main cause of arterial hypertension.
— Is Cardiline suitable for all ages and are there any restrictions regarding its use?
— It is suitable for all ages. Usually, therapy for hypertension is prescribed individually. Before starting treatment, the patient is examined to find out if there are any changes in the heart, kidneys, adrenal glands. For more accurate results blood pressure is measured on both hands. Hypertension is often accompanied by disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, coronary heart disease, atherosclerosis. An important difference between Cardiline and other similar drugs is that it does not affect the work of organs. Its only contraindication is individual intolerance to the components.
— When will the patient feel better after taking Cardiline?
— One course is designed for 28 days. Of course, the result depends on the degree of hypertension, but the average improvement in well-being is 3-7 days.The pressure will decrease, and along with it migraines, dizziness, tinnitus, meteosensitivity and insomnia will begin to disappear.
— So in other words, Cardiline not only reduces blood pressure?
— It has a multi-level effect:
- improves blood circulation and tone;
- cleanses blood vessels from cholesterol plaques;
- improves the condition of the cardiovascular system;
- prevents the development of atherosclerosis.
— Thank you very much for the interview. My last question is, where can we buy Cardiline?
— Thanks for the invitation. I advise my patients to purchase Cardiline on the manufacturer's website. This will protect you from buying generic copies and give you a chance to get the drug at a lower price.
